S&T 5K and wellness fair set for Oct. 16

Missouri S&T’s Gold Rush 5K run and walk will return in 2021 and feature both in-person and virtual race options. The event, which is a part of Missouri S&T’s year-long 150th anniversary celebration, is open to participants of all ages and fitness levels. A portion of the proceeds will support Missouri S&T’s Health and Wellness Fund.

Missouri S&T starts school year with most diverse class, blended instruction

Northcut named vice provost of academic support

Dr. Kathryn Northcut, professor of English and technical communication, has been named vice provost of academic support at Missouri S&T, effective Thursday, Sept. 1. She has served as interim vice provost since February 2020. As vice provost of academic support, Northcut oversees the programs and services designed to support learning and improve retention and graduation rates.

S&T chemist earns patent for flexible electronics work

A Missouri S&T chemistry researcher has patented a new method of creating metal foils with ordered crystal structure. Using silicon as a template to shape and form thin, high-performance metal films allows them to remain flexible and maintain the order of the silicon substrate.
