Missouri S&T crowns 2021 Homecoming royalty
Missouri University of Science and Technology crowned the 2021 Homecoming Queen and King at halftime of the Oct. 9 football game between S&T and Truman State University. Olivia Romisch, a sophomore in civil engineering, was named Missouri S&T’s 2021 Homecoming Queen. Blake Elder, a senior in civil engineering, was named Missouri S&T’s 2021 Homecoming King.

Missouri S&T sends two teams to ROTC Ranger Challenge
Twenty-one ROTC students from Missouri S&T will head to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, on Friday, Oct. 15, to push themselves to the limits in a three-day competition against teams from seven other Midwestern universities. The team that wins the ROTC Ranger Challenge will advance to the broader regional round.

Three Missouri S&T faculty will serve as University of Missouri System Presidential Engagement Fellows during the 2021-22 academic year. The faculty members will serve as ambassadors in the region and speak to local organizations and communities about their areas of research and expertise. Dr. Kathryn Northcut, professor of English and technical communication, has been named vice provost of academic support at Missouri S&T, effective Thursday, Sept. 1. She has served as interim vice provost since February 2020. As vice provost of academic support, Northcut oversees the programs and services designed to support learning and improve retention and graduation rates.
