Dr. Yinfa Ma, Curators’ Teaching professor of chemistry at Missouri University of Science and Technology, is the recipient of the 2008 American Chemical Society Division of Analytical Chemistry’s J. Calvin Giddings Award for Excellence in Education. Ma accepted the award during the 236th ACS national meeting held this fall in Philadelphia.

Perrin Roller of Spring, Texas, vice president for well engineering for Devon Energy Corp., was elected president of the Miner Alumni Association at Missouri University of Science and Technology during the university’s Homecoming celebration Oct. 19.
