Emerson scholars partnership with UMR/STLCC turns 20

In 1987, the Emerson Co. and St. Louis Community College formed a partnership with the University of Missouri-Rolla to help minority students interested in studying engineering get a college degree. Twenty years and 67 graduates later, the Emerson Minority Engineering Scholarship Program is celebrating a milestone anniversary.

Bomb threats under investigation at UMR

On four separate occasions last week, threatening calls were made to the University of Missouri-Rolla that resulted in the evacuation of the Campus Support Facility. Each time, the building remained closed for approximately 30 minutes while UMR Police conducted a search.
