Latest S&T Weiner Professor to present two open lectures
Dr. Susan Curtis, professor of history and American Studies at Purdue University, is the 12th Maxwell C. Weiner Distinguished Professor of Humanities to visit Missouri University of Science and Technology. This semester, Curtis is teaching a history course titled, “Cultural History of Economic Depressions in America.”

The 399th Army Band from Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., will join Missouri University of Science and Technology’s Symphonic Band and Wind Symphony for a free concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17. The concert will be held in Leach Theater of Castleman Hall, 10th and Main streets in Rolla. A free-will offering will be taken for the Missouri S&T band program.

Recruiters representing nearly 200 employers will be talking to Missouri S&T students during the campus’ spring career fair Feb. 19. That is an increase of 6 percent over the spring 2012 career fair.

Public radio station KMST‘s annual Spring Cyber Membership Drive will be held Feb. 16-22 on its website, kmst.org, followed by the station’s membership drive, which will be broadcast live on KMST Feb. 23 through March 3. The drive’s goal is $70,000.
