Bipin N. Doshi to speak at Missouri S&T Commencement
Chemical engineer and entrepreneur Bipin N. Doshi will speak at three commencement ceremonies at Missouri University of Science and Technology on Friday, May 17, and Saturday, May 18.
Doshi, of Mishawaka, Indiana, retired chairman, president and CEO of Schafer Industries, earned bachelor of science and master of science degrees in chemical engineering from Missouri S&T. During commencement, he will be awarded the doctor of engineering, honoris causa.

Passing of former S&T chancellor John F. Carney III
Dr. John F. “Jack” Carney III, former chancellor of Missouri University of Science and Technology, died Wednesday, April 24, at his home in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He was 77.
Carney’s appointment as chancellor at Missouri S&T began on Sept. 1, 2005. He retired on Aug. 31, 2011.
“Our entire university family is saddened by Jack’s passing, and we extend our sincere condolences to Jack’s family,” says Dr. Christopher G. Maples, Missouri S&T interim chancellor. “His warmth of character and strength as a leader who loved this university will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He leaves a lasting legacy at a university he helped to transform in many positive ways.”

Missouri S&T will hold three commencement ceremonies this spring. Ceremonies will be held on Friday, May 17, and Saturday, May 18, in the Gale Bullman Building, located at 10th Street and Bishop Avenue in Rolla.
