$33,500 in scholarships awarded to S&T students

A group of Missouri University of Science and Technology students received a total of $33,500 in scholarships from the Women’s Auxiliary to the American Institute of Mining and Metallurgical and Petroleum Engineers Inc. (WAAIME), a division of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration. The students were honored during a luncheon held on campus Oct. 5.

34 faculty to receive Outstanding Teaching Awards at S&T

Thirty-four Missouri University of Science and Technology faculty members will receive the Committee for Effective Teaching (CET) Outstanding Teaching Award for 2009-2010. The winners will be recognized at a ceremony from 3-4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15, in St. Pat’s C of the Havener Center. The Outstanding Teaching Award is given each year to faculty members by the CET, which bases its selections on student evaluations.
