Economy, progress highlight State of the University Address

On the heels of a request from state legislative leaders for Missouri’s public colleges and universities to prepare for significant cuts in state funding, Missouri S&T Chancellor John F. Carney III said in his State of the University Address on Thursday (Dec. 4, 2008) that public higher education is the solution to economic problems and should be protected.
