Missouri S&T will host a beam-signing ceremony Friday, Oct. 25, for the top structural beam that will be used in construction of the university’s Welcome Center. The ceremony will begin at 4 p.m. on the Innovation Lab lawn, located west of the Welcome Center construction site. The event is free and open to the public, and attendees will be invited to sign the beam.
The centerpiece of the Havener Arrival Complex, the 32,000-square-foot Welcome Center will house admissions and enrollment management and showcase the S&T experience. Construction is expected to be finished in summer 2025.
“The Welcome Center will become the first stop on campus for future Miners as they explore the university,” says Missouri S&T Chancellor Mo Dehghani. “In addition to much-needed event spaces, presentation rooms, meeting rooms and offices, the Welcome Center will provide visitors the opportunity to connect with various parts of the S&T experience through activities that are hands-on and interactive.”
The center will host events such as Miner Immersion, a day for future S&T students to meet with faculty, staff, and current and future students, participate in a design project, and learn about campus activities and organizations, and Miner Welcome Bash, a celebration that offers enrolled first-year and transfer students a closer look at what S&T has to offer.

Can I sign remotely?
I am surprised that you do not have a way for Rolla grads from around the world to submit their digital signatures for inclusion. Please give it some thought. It may not be too late.
