If you want to see the future of comedy, it might just be on the Leach Theatre stage on Sept. 21. The Second City, Chicago’s iconic comedy theater, is bringing “Mo’ Funny, Less Problems” to Rolla as part of Missouri University of Science and Technology’s Campus Performing Arts Series.
Many of the brightest stars in comedy have performed as part of The Second City before getting wider recognition in film and TV. Alumni include Bill Murray, Gilda Radner, Eugene Levy, Catharine O’Hara, Tina Fey, Keegan-Michael Key, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Jason Sudeikis, among many others. “Mo’ Funny, Less Problems” promises an uproarious celebration of comedy through two acts of scripted scenes, musical comedy and improvisation.
The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, in Leach Theatre in Castleman Hall, located on the Missouri S&T campus at 10th and Main streets. Tickets are $35 for the general public, $30 for Missouri S&T faculty and staff, $20 for youth under 18 and $10 for Missouri S&T students.
