May 11 commencement cap throw

Graduates throw their caps in the air as Chancellor Mo Dehghani triggers carbon dioxide cannons during a May 11 commencement ceremony in Gale Bullman Building.

Missouri S&T’s first graduating class in 1874 consisted of three students. This May, Missouri S&T celebrated with over 1,100 students in the Class of 2024 at three ceremonies. Graduates wore green and gold commencement cords to commemorate the special occasion. Check out some photos below taken by university photographers Michael Pierce and Blaine Falkena.

Commencement Speakers

  • Dr. Kim D. Colter, family medicine physician and hospitalist for Mercy Health, addressed Ph.D. graduates at a ceremony May 10.
  • Robert (Bob) Clark, founder of Clayco, spoke to graduates at two ceremonies on May 11 for bachelor’s degree and master’s degree recipients.

Selfies and Sweets Social

Missouri S&T hosted a “Selfies and Sweets Social” for graduates to enjoy fun photo opportunities and sweet treats with friends and family on May 10.
