Community invited to diversity conference

Registration for Women's Hall of Fame ceremony at S&T

Missouri S&T will host its inaugural Diversity Conference 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, in the Innovation Lab on the university’s campus in Rolla. The conference, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by Boeing and Nucor. Registration is required.

The conference will focus on topics of diversity and provide time for participants to network. The theme for the conference is “The Changing Landscape of DEI – What is Over the Horizon?” DEI is an acronym for diversity, equity and inclusion. The DEI team at S&T is hosting the event.

Although the programming starts at 9 a.m., check-in and breakfast will begin at 8 a.m. in the atrium of the Innovation Lab.

Speakers will include:

  • Dr. Jessica Cundiff, associate professor of psychological science at Missouri S&T
  • Jerald Gaines, vice president and general manager of Nucor Steel in Arkansas
  • Tom Krieglstein, founder of Swift Kick
  • Tonya M. Noble, Boeing executive
  • Jose Sanchez, principal consultant for Unique Recruiting Solutions for Nucor.
