‘Broadway’s Next Hit Musical’ brings theatrical improv to Leach Theatre May 4

Missouri S&T’s Campus Performing Arts Series is closing out the spring semester with “Broadway’s Next Hit Musical” on May 4.

The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 4, in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall, located on the Missouri S&T campus at the corner of 10th and Main streets in Rolla. Tickets are $38 for adults, $33 for youth under age 18 and $15 for Missouri S&T students with a valid S&T ID.

“Broadway’s Next Hit Musical” takes the form of the “Phony Awards,” with the cast performing nominated songs based on audience suggestions. The audience votes for their favorite song and watches as the cast turn it into a full-blown improvised musical, complete with memorable characters, witty dialogue and plot twists.

Tickets can be purchased online at leachtheatre.mst.edu or by calling 573-341-4219. Service fees may apply to tickets purchased online or by phone. Tickets can also be purchased in person in the office of Student Involvement in room 218 of the Havener Center, located on the Missouri S&T campus at 1246 N. Bishop Avenue.
