The Campus Performing Arts Series at Missouri S&T is kicking off the spring semester with “The Elephant in the Room,” Priyanka Shetty’s one-woman show about her experience as an immigrant.
The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, in Leach Theatre in Castleman Hall, located on the Missouri S&T campus at the corner of 10th and Main streets in Rolla. Tickets are $25 for adults, $18 for youth, and $10 for Missouri S&T students with a valid ID.
Priyanka Shetty’s “The Elephant in the Room” is a dark comedy about an Indian metalhead and software-engineer-turned-actor navigating life as an immigrant in America. The show takes audiences on a tumultuous ride through clashing cultures, unforgettable love, irreparable loss and the desperation of not belonging anywhere.
Tickets can also be purchased in person in the office of Student Involvement in Room 218 of the Havener Center, located on the Missouri S&T campus at 1246 N. Bishop Avenue. Missouri S&T student organizations with at least 10 members interested in attending can visit the office to arrange discounted group tickets, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
