Dr. David Borrok, associate dean for research in Missouri S&T’s College of Engineering and Computing (CEC), has accepted the role of interim vice provost and CEC dean effective Aug. 1.

“Missouri S&T is fortunate to have leaders such as David who are ready to step into a larger role, and we look forward to his guidance,” says S&T Provost Colin Potts. “Warm thanks to Dr. Richard Wlezien for his leadership over the last five years. We wish him well in retirement.”

Borrok joined Missouri S&T in 2017 from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he was inaugural director of the school of geosciences. He also served as interim director of the Institute for Coastal Ecology and Water Research at Louisiana-Lafayette.
