A six-piece ensemble from the Sheldon Concert Hall in St. Louis will present “Missouri Music and Musicians” at Leach Theatre this May.
The concert will begin at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 7, in Leach Theatre, located on the campus of Missouri University of Science and Technology at the corner of 10th and Main streets in Rolla. The Leach Theatre lobby will be open to ticket holders at 7 p.m. for a reception with light hors d’oeuvres and beverages.
The Sheldon Concert Hall created the “Missouri Music and Musicians” program at the request of the Missouri Arts Council to highlight the contributions of Missouri musicians to American music. The Carolbeth True & Friends band will perform a wide range of genres from ragtime to pop, including selections from Chuck Berry, Miles Davis, Scott Joplin and Tina Turner.
Tickets are $15 for the general public, $10 for Missouri S&T faculty and staff, and $5 for Missouri S&T students with a valid student ID.
Tickets can be purchased at the Leach Theatre Box Office, located inside the main entrance of Castleman Hall, facing 10th Street. The box office is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Tickets can also be purchased online at leachtheatre.mst.edu or by calling 573-341-4219. Service fees may apply to tickets purchased online or by phone.
