Celebrate the 200th anniversary of Missouri’s statehood, as well as several local milestones, during a statewide ice cream social at Missouri S&T this August.
The Missouri 2021 Ice Cream Social will be held 4:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, on the corner of Pine and 11th streets, across from Hasselmann Alumni House on the Missouri S&T campus.
The first 1,000 people at this family-friendly event will receive one free ice cream or cold treat from Snowie Shaved Ice, Soda and Scoops on Route 66, South Central Creamery, or Sweet Stop Ice Cream. Attendees can then stay and grab a bite to eat at one of the local food trucks, including Holy Taco, Food for Your Soul and Filipino Favorites, while listening to live music by Rolla native Justyn Moreland.
These Rolla ice cream social sponsors are celebrating milestone anniversaries of their own — 150 years of Bulldog Nation, 150 years of Missouri S&T, 100 years of the Rolla Area Chamber of Commerce and 100 years of the Miner Alumni Association.
