To mark its 50th anniversary, the Curtis Laws Wilson Library on the Missouri S&T campus will host a public celebration in October.

The library’s Golden Anniversary Party will be noon-2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, near the library’s main entrance, located at 400 W. 14th St. in Rolla. The celebration is free to attend and open to the public.

Events kickoff with remarks by Missouri S&T interim Chancellor Chris Maples. Attendees can then enjoy food, music, giveaways and more. A tie-dye station, sponsored by KMNR campus radio, will also be available, and the first 100 participants will receive a free Golden Library Celebration T-shirt. In the event of inclement weather, events will be moved to inside the library.

For more information about the celebration, visit the library’s Facebook page at facebook.com/sandtlibrary.
