Missouri University of Science and Technology will host its 43rd annual Joe Miner Sports Camp May 29-June 1. The camp is designed for children entering grades three through eight in the fall of 2018.
Joe Miner Sports Camp offers three one-hour sessions of instruction and play in a number of sports activities, including archery, team games, soccer, volleyball, touch football, baseball, softball, basketball, swimming, and track and field.
The camp runs from 9 a.m.-noon Tuesday, May 29, through Friday, June 1. All sessions are held at the Gale Bullman Building, located at the corner of 10th Street and Bishop Avenue on the Missouri S&T campus.
Fee for the camp is $60. A $10 discount is offered for additional children from the same family. Registration fee includes a camp T-shirt. Campers should be dropped off and picked up in the Student Recreation Center portion of the building using the west entrance.
All campers should bring a water bottle. Additional equipment is required for specific activities – bring a swimsuit and towel for swimming, a fielder’s glove for baseball and softball, kneepads for volleyball and shin guards for soccer.
