Area businesses now have a Waynesville, Missouri, location to obtain business counseling services through the Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) at Missouri University of Science and Technology.
All are invited to attend an open house and ribbon cutting 10 a.m.-noon Thursday, Feb. 8, at the Pulaski County Extension Center, located at 201 North St. in Waynesville. The ribbon cutting will be held at 11 a.m.
“We understand that it can be tough for business owners to be away from their place of business. Having a Waynesville office location means it will be much easier for them to access local business support services,” says Keith Strassner, director of Missouri S&T’s TTED and the SBTDC service location that it operates. “We are excited about this partnership opportunity with the University of Missouri Extension, and will be sharing their office space near downtown Waynesville.”
A business counselor will be available for on-site appointments on Thursdays beginning this month. To schedule an appointment, contact Travin Shelton, email sheltontt@mst.edu or call 573-341-6272.
Missouri S&T’s SBTDC provides business counseling and assistance to aspiring entrepreneurs and small businesses in the areas of management, new business creation, business planning, business acquisition, business sales, marketing, financial analysis, human resources, operations management, succession planning and technology commercialization. Most services are provided at no cost.
Missouri S&T’s SBTDC is a University of Missouri Extension partner and part of the Missouri SBTDC statewide network, which is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
