Veterans, their spouses and others in business who want to learn more about starting or growing a business are invited to attend the Veterans in Business seminar offered by the Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) at Missouri University of Science and Technology and the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) St. Louis District Office.
The Veterans in Business seminar will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, at 900 Innovation Drive in Rolla, Missouri. The seminar is free and includes lunch, but registration is required. Register online at eventbrite.com/e/myvetbiz-veterans-in-business-lunch-learn-tickets-38015152344.
Attendees will become more familiar with what it takes to start or grow a business and learn about veteran loan programs, veteran hiring programs and other free resources available to assist those with their own small business. Much of the information is relevant to all small businesses but also covers items of interest specific to veteran-owned small businesses. Although the event is focused on veterans, anyone may attend.
Missouri S&T’s SBTDC provides business counseling and assistance to aspiring entrepreneurs and small businesses. Most services are provided at no cost to the client. It is a University of Missouri Extension partner and part of the Missouri SBTDC statewide network, which is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
