Business owners and entrepreneurs can learn about business plans and marketing plans during two classes offered by the Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) at Missouri University of Science and Technology, University of Missouri Extension Dent County and Salem Chamber of Commerce.
These free classes are intended for both business owners and those who are interested in starting a business. Classes are hands-on working sessions, so attendees should come prepared to work and brainstorm with each other.
Classes are free and include lunch, but registration for each class is required. To register and for more information, call 573-729-3196 or email hultines@missouri.edu. Classes will be held at Southwest Baptist University, 501 S. Grand St. in Salem, Missouri.
In addition, appointment times are available after each class for those who want to meet one-on-one with a business development specialist to talk about a business plan, marketing plan, how to start a business or other area of business. Sign up to reserve a time. Class attendance is not required to sign up for a one-on-one appointment.
Classes include:
— 1-Page Business Plan, noon-1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2 — Develop your own one-page business plan during this working session. One-on-one appointments will be available 1-3 p.m.
— 1-Page Marketing Plan, noon-1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9 — Develop your own one-page marketing plan during this working session. One-on-one appointments will be available 1-3 p.m.
