Seven students at Missouri University of Science and Technology have been nominated by student organizations to compete for the title of 2017 Homecoming King.
The winner will be chosen after interviews and a campuswide election held the week prior to Homecoming. Missouri S&T’s Homecoming will be held Oct. 27-28.
The queen and king, as well as runners-up, will be announced during halftime ceremonies of the Missouri S&T Homecoming football game. The game, which features Missouri S&T and Southwest Baptist University, starts at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28.
The king candidates are:
— Paul Black, a senior in mechanical engineering from St. Joseph, Missouri, representing the Associated Students of the University of Missouri
— Abdullah Felemban, a senior in petroleum engineering from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, representing Alpha Psi Omega
— Eric Fors, a senior in nuclear engineering from Springfield, Missouri, representing Alpha Chi Sigma
— Josh Giancola, a senior in mechanical engineering from Maryland Heights, Missouri, representing Pi Kappa Alpha
— Sheshan Wijeratna Mahavidanalage, a senior in information science and technology from Avissawella, Sri Lanka, representing the International Student Club
— Kevin Rudolph, a senior in metallurgical engineering from O’Fallon, Missouri, representing Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma
— Jacob Walker, a senior in civil and architectural engineering from Cottleville, Missouri, representing Chi Omega.
