Watch a parade, tour campus departments during open houses and cheer the Miner football team to victory as part of Missouri University of Science and Technology’s 2017 Homecoming celebration, held Oct. 26-28. This year’s Homecoming theme is “MinerFest,” and is inspired by a traditional fall festival.

“Missouri S&T’s annual Homecoming celebration is a fantastic opportunity for the community to join fellow alumni and friends to celebrate the distinctive culture of the university,” says Darlene Ramsay, assistant vice chancellor for advancement services and alumni relations. “This year, we have a number of Greek life anniversaries and house tours, as well as a special reception for Jerry Bayless. Jerry, known affectionately as Mr. MSM/UMR/S&T, is both a community leader and campus icon, having been a member of our faculty for nearly six decades.”

— Thursday, Oct. 26
Jerry Bayless Retirement Banquet, 5-7 p.m. reception, 7-9 p.m. dinner, Kinyon-Koeppel Grand Hall in Hasselmann Alumni House, located at the corner of 11th and Pine streets. Tickets are required.
— Friday, Oct. 27
Homecoming registration, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Hasselmann Alumni House
Miner Alumni Association’s Legends Luncheon, noon-1:30 p.m., Hasselmann Alumni House. Some of S&T’s most distinguished alumni will be recognized. Tickets are required.
Department open houses, 3-4 p.m., various academic departments. See mineralumni.com/homecoming for a full listing.
Silver and Gold Gathering, 5-9 p.m., Hasselmann Alumni House. Social Hour starts at 5 p.m. and dinner is served at 6 p.m. Tickets are required.

MinerFest Family Connection, 9:30 a.m., St. Pat’s Ballroom of the Havener Center. This annual parent event lets families get to know the university.

Homecoming parade, 11 a.m. The parade route follows State Street to 11th Street past Hasselmann Alumni House.
Tailgate Party, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., alumni tent at the Gale Bullman Building parking lot. Tickets are required.
Lambda Chi Alpha centennial celebration house tours, noon-4 p.m., located at 1705 N. Pine St.
Homecoming football game, 1 p.m., Allgood-Bailey Stadium. Cheer on the Miners as they take on Southwest Baptist University. Tickets are required.
Theta Xi groundbreaking ceremony, 4 p.m., 1605 N. Pine St. Help celebrate the groundbreaking for the chapter’s new house.
Miner Alumni Social, 6-8 p.m., Public House Brewing Co., 600 N. Rolla St.
