The fall 2017 enrollment at Missouri University of Science and Technology, officially recorded at the end of the semester’s fourth week, is 8,884. This is a 0.5 percent increase over last year’s fall enrollment of 8,838, says Deanne Jackson, Missouri S&T registrar.
“Enrollment this fall is outstanding,” says Tim Albers, vice provost and dean of enrollment management at Missouri S&T. “This is the second-largest enrollment in the history of Missouri S&T, and the last three years are the three largest enrollments we’ve ever seen.”
On-campus enrollment is at a record level, with 7,969 students enrolled on campus in Rolla. Enrollment of students in Ph.D. programs at Missouri S&T increased from 624 to 689. The freshman class enrollment exceeded 1,400 students for a third straight year, the first time that has ever happened for Missouri S&T, Albers says. The average ACT score among Missouri S&T freshmen is 28.
Fall classes at Missouri S&T began on Aug. 21. The fourth week of the semester officially ended on Monday, Sept. 18.
Mary,
That is a long way from the 3,000 guys and 30 girls in 1961.
