All Missouri S&T students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend an open forum with members of the search committee for the next University of Missouri System president. The forum will be held from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, April 4, in the Carver-Turner Room of the Havener Center.
Members of the search committee, along with UM System representatives and representatives of Isaacson, Miller, the firm assisting with the search, will be on campus to seek input on the proposed characteristics and desired qualifications for the next UM System president.
This is the first of four forums to be held during the first week of April on all four UM System campuses. Isaacson, Miller representatives will use input gathered from the forums to develop a qualifications statement for use in recruiting and selecting candidates.

Committee co-chairs are Cheryl D.S. Walker, a former member of the Board of Curators who earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Missouri S&T in 1986, and James H. Whitaker, who earned a bachelor’s degree and medical doctorate from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1967 and 1971, respectively.
