36 S&T faculty members honored for outstanding teaching

Thirty-six Missouri University of Science and Technology faculty members will receive the Outstanding Teaching Award for 2013-2014. The winners will be recognized at a ceremony scheduled for 2-3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, in St. Pat’s Ballroom A of the Havener Center.Outstanding Teaching Award winners

The Outstanding Teaching Award is given each year to faculty members by the Outstanding Teaching Award Committee, which bases its selections on student evaluations.

The following individuals were selected for awards:

— Dr. Diana Ahmad, professor of history and political science

— Dr. Neil Anderson, professor in geosciences and geological and petroleum engineering

— Dr. Kwame Awuah-Offei, associate professor of mining and nuclear engineering

— Dr. Baojun Bai, associate professor in geosciences and geological and petroleum engineering

— Dr. Jason Baird, associate professor of mining and nuclear engineering

— Dr. Douglas Bristow, associate professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering

— Dr. Michael Bruening, associate professor of history and political science

— Dr. Petra DeWitt, assistant professor of history and political science

— Dr. Ralph Flori Jr., associate professor in geosciences and geological and petroleum engineering

— Lorie Francis, lecturer in arts, languages, and philosophy

— Dr. Stephen Gao, professor in geosciences and geological and petroleum engineering

— Dr. Gregory Hilmas, Curators’ Professor of materials science and engineering

— Dr. Robert Holmes Jr., adjunct professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering

— Dr. Irina Ivliyeva, associate professor of arts, languages, and philosophy

— Dr. Mary Koen, adjunct assistant professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering

— Kelley Koob, lecturer in mathematics and statistics

— Dr. Vy Khoi Le, professor of mathematics and statistics

— Dr. John C. McManus, professor of history and political science

— Dr. Randy Moss, professor of electrical and computer engineering

— Dr. Gary Mueller, associate professor of mining and nuclear engineering

— Dr. Francisca Oboh Ikuenobe, professor in geosciences and geological and petroleum engineering

— Mr. Clayton Price, associate teaching professor of computer science
