Amy Ketterer, a senior in technical communication at Missouri University of Science and Technology, has been awarded the Diane Feldman Technical Editing Special Interest Group Scholarship from the Society for Technical Communications.
The Leslie, Missouri, native was awarded the $1,400 scholarship in recognition of her academic achievements in technical communication.
“Amy is capable of analyzing a document closely and critically, developing sound editing objectives and implementing an editing plan with care and good sense,” says Dr. Edward Malone, associate professor of English and technical communication, who recommended Ketterer for the scholarship. “She will make an excellent technical editor.”
The scholarship is awarded to technical communication students who plan to pursue a career as a technical editor. It was named in honor of Diane Feldman, a technical editor and longtime manager of the Technical Editing Special Interest Group.
