Missouri University of Science and Technology’s Miner League Theatre group is asking the local community for wardrobe assistance.
The group needs 1950s-style prom dresses for a scene in its upcoming production of “Grease.” The performance features a cast of 36 students and community members, so all sizes and types of dresses are needed.
“With those numbers, we are asking for the community’s help. We need 1950s-style prom dresses for the high school prom scene,” says Jeanne Stanley, assistant professor of theater and “Grease” director. “We have a budget but this many prom dresses doesn’t ‘fit.’”
The group has a team of seamstresses available for alterations. If you can donate a dress, contact Stanley by emailing stanleyje@mst.edu or call 341-4958.
Missouri S&T’s production of “Grease” will from April 10-13, in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall, 10th and Main streets in Rolla, Mo.
