S&T’s Haunted Mine to operate on Friday

The Haunted Mine at Missouri University of Science and Technology will operate an additional day this Halloween season. Mining engineering student volunteers will be on hand to frighten folks on Friday, Nov. 1, in addition to Halloween, Thursday, Oct. 31.

Haunted Mine tours will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. on Halloween night and from 5 to 11:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1. Tickets are $10 for age 11 and up and $8 for children under 10, S&T students and active and veteran military (both with valid IDs). Small children may visit from 5 to 6 p.m. to walk through the mine with the lights on. The cost is $5 per child.

A $2 discount will be given to each person who brings three canned goods to be donated to the Russell House, a shelter for women and children who are victims of domestic violence.

The Missouri S&T Experimental Mine is located off Bridge School Road in Rolla, about 1.5 miles from campus.
