Missouri University of Science and Technology is preparing for the 105th “Best Ever” celebration of St. Patrick’s Day in Rolla, and the 2013 Queen of Love and Beauty candidates have been announced.
The candidates are nominated by various student organizations at Missouri S&T. There are 36 queen candidates for 2013. A committee of students will elect a queen after a series of interviews.
Coronation ceremonies will be held at 9 p.m. Friday, March 15, in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall on the Missouri S&T campus, in tandem with the knighting ceremony of Student Knights of St. Pat.
The Queen of Love and Beauty, her court and the rest of the candidates will all have places of honor on the queen’s float during the 2013 St. Pat’s Parade, held in downtown Rolla on Saturday, March 16.
The 2013 queen candidates from MISSOURI are:
Albany — Delanie Parmenter, a senior in ceramic engineering, representing Zeta Tau Alpha
Ballwin — Sarah Ward, a senior in civil engineering, representing the Residential College Association
Blue Springs — Tabre Oliver, a sophomore in undeclared studies, representing Delta Omicron Lambda
