S&T choirs welcome spring with April 18 concert
Missouri University of Science and Technology choirs will present their spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 18, in Leach Theater of Castleman Hall, 10th and Main streets in Rolla. Choirs performing include the University Choir and the Chamber Choir.

Bogan film part of KC FilmFest; ‘Silver Telly’ winner
NAKED BRONZE: Louis Smart Sculptor in the Ozarks, a documentary produced and directed by Dr. James Bogan, will be shown at the Kansas City FilmFest on Saturday, April 9. The film won a Silver Telly Award in June.
Ragtime pianist Milne makes complex seem effortless
Called a “national treasure” by the Library of Congress, Bob Milne is considered by many to be the best ragtime and boogie-woogie pianist in the world. He will bring his talent, knowledge and enthusiasm for the genres to a benefit concert for Leach Theatre, located on the campus of Missouri University of Science and Technology.

In his latest book The Essential Engineer: Why Science Alone Will Not Solve Our Global Problems, Dr. Henry Petroski argues that engineers play a crucial role in the success of many of the world’s greatest achievements. In an upcoming lecture at Missouri University of Science and Technology, Petroski will also talk about why engineering failures are also important.
Grad students recognized for research
Thirty-two graduate students at Missouri University of Science and Technology recently presented research findings on campus as part the first annual Chancellor’s Fellows Research Poster Presentation. Chancellor’s Fellows are a select group of students who are on scholarship at Missouri S&T for academic excellence.
