They will also perform “Ding-a Ding-a Ding,” by Greg Gilpin, “Silent Night,” arranged by Michelle Hynson, and three carols by Alfred Burt. The carols were Christmas cards sent to friends by Burt.
University Choir will perform three pieces by Mack Wilberg, including “Fum, Fum, Fum” and “Away in a Manger.” They will also perform “Bidi Bom,” a piece celebrating Hanukah.
The concert will close with the “Hallelujah Chorus” from the “Messiah,” by Handel, with a cookie reception in the choir room following the concert.
The choir will also announce their summer 2012 plans to travel to Europe for a concert tour, culminating with their participation in the 2012 Mozart International Choral Festival in Salzburg.
