‘Masked Marvels and Wondertales’ coming to Leach Theatre

Audiences of all ages will be charmed by Michael Cooper’s one-man show “Masked Marvels and Wondertales” at Missouri University of Science and Technology. Cooper will bring his cast of unusual and colorful characters to life at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall, 10th and Main streets in Rolla, Mo. The show is part of the Leach Theatre Family Series.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for Missouri S&T students and youth. Tickets are available online, or from the Leach Theatre Box Office. Box office hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call 573-341-4219 for more information.

A visual artist and expert mime, Cooper uses an array of beautifully crafted masks to create a world where wild stallions are tamed, graceful giants dance and fish use candy to catch children in a pond. The stories told in “Masked Marvels and Wondertales” are filled with thrilling adventure, silly antics and outlandish possibilities that are sure to capture hearts and stimulate imaginations.

In the event that tickets remain for these performances, Leach Theatre will also offer discounted tickets through its “Back Row Club.” The seats in the last row of the theater will be sold one hour before each event for $10 each.
