Openings remain in two three-day Robotics Camps at Missouri University of Science and Technology. The camps will be held June 10-12 and June 14-16. Students must be age 11 to 15 by the first day of the camp session they are attending.
Robotics Camp is designed to teach students the basic principles of robotics, including electronics, sensors and motor controls.
Using the LEGO Mindstorms Robotics Invention System, students will team up to invent, design, build and program robots to respond to their environment while learning the basics of computer programming.
Students will have the chance to learn practical applications of math, science, programming and engineering concepts. No robots experience is required to participate, and all materials will be provided.
Participants can stay in a residence hall on the Missouri S&T campus during the three-day program, or commute to campus. Registration is $390 for students staying on campus and $340 for commuters.
