The student financial assistance office at Missouri University of Science and Technology is hosting an event for high school seniors from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, in the Carver-Turner Room of the Havener Center on campus.
College Goal Sunday is a public service event open to all high school seniors and their families, regardless of the college or post-secondary institution they plan to attend. Those students who may not be considering college because of financial reasons are also encouraged to attend.
Trained professionals from S&T’s student financial assistance office will provide students and families with practical financial aid information, including a step-by-step review of the new Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2009-2010 school year. The FAFSA determines eligibility for student grants, loans, scholarships and student employment.
College Goal Sunday is a free two-hour event. A scholarship drawing will be held at the conclusion of the event. Students must be present to win.
College Goal Sundays are sponsored by the Missouri Association of Student Financial Aid. The events will be held across the state of Missouri at various institutions. For more information, visit www.collegegoalmissouri.com .
