Missouri S&T is selling signage that bears the university’s former name
– the University of Missouri-Rolla – on the online auction site eBay.
The university decided to sell the UMR signs after alumni expressed a desire
to purchase them as memorabilia. Most of the signs were removed when the
university changed its name to Missouri S&T on Jan. 1.
Anyone interested in owning a bit of campus history may bid on the signs
through the University of Missouri’s surplus store on eBay. Bidding for the
signs began on April 1.
