Symphonic Band and Wind Symphony to perform winter concert

The Missouri University of Science and Technology Symphonic Band and Wind
Symphony will perform a winter concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, at Leach
Theatre in Castleman Hall.
The Symphonic Band will perform two new pieces by Texas composer Jason
Nitch, “A Summer Breeze” and “The Curse of El Rojo Grande.” The band also will
perform “Pirates of the Aeolian” by Robert Reck.
The Wind Symphony will play Samuel Hazo’s “Wind Sprints,” Percy Grainger’s
“Ye Banks and Braes O’Bonnie Doon” and Percy Fletcher’s “Vanity Fair.”
The concert is free for Missouri S&T students with a student ID, and $3
for the public. Tickets are available at the Leach Theatre Box Office inside
Castleman Hall, or call 573-341-4219.
