Eighteen Missouri University of Science and
Technology faculty members received Faculty Excellence Awards from
Missouri S&T Chancellor John F. Carney III during an awards dinner
Dec. 17.
The awards are given annually to recognize
teaching, research and service excellence. Each award winner receives a $2,500
stipend funded by industry and alumni
contributions.
Receiving the 2007 awards
were:
— Dr. Martin Bohner, associate professor of
mathematics and statistics
— Dr. Badrul Chowdhury, professor of
electrical and computer engineering
— Dr. William Fahrenholtz, professor of
materials science and engineering
— Dr. Greg Hilmas, professor of materials
science and engineering
— Dr. Morris Kalliny, assistant professor of
business administration
— Dr. Robert Landers, associate professor of
mechanical and aerospace engineering
— Dr. Jennifer Leopold, assistant professor
of computer science
— Dr. Yinfa Ma, Curators’ Teaching Professor
of chemistry
— Dr. Sanjay Madria, associate professor of
computer science
— Dr. Anne Maglia, assistant professor of
biological sciences
— Dr. James Martin, associate professor of
psychology
— Dr. John McManus, associate professor of
history and political science
— Dr. Rajiv Mishra, professor of materials

One of the 2007 Faculty Excellence Award
winners, Dr. William Fahrenholtz, also received an engraved crystal flame for
earning the award five or more times since its inception in 1986.
