Spring commencement at the University of Missouri-Rolla is scheduled for May 12.
Approximately 600 bachelor’s degrees will be awarded during a ceremony that starts at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 12, in the Gale Bullman Multi-Purpose Building, 10th Street and Bishop Avenue, Rolla. A ceremony for graduate students (master’s degree candidates and doctorate degree candidates) will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 12, in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall on campus.
People with sight, hearing and mobility impairments who are planning to attend commencement should contact UMR’s Office of Affirmative Action, Americans with Disabilities Act coordinator, at (573) 341-6314 by Friday, May 4, for the university to provide reasonable accommodations.
In addition, UMR will host the 2007 Spring Graduation Jubilee from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Friday, May 11, at the Havener Center on campus. The event is being held to salute UMR’s graduating students and will feature student projects, departmental showcases, student organizations, entertainment, food and fun. UMR students, faculty and staff, professional degree recipients, and parents and friends of graduating students and are all invited to participate in this commencement event.
