Twelve faculty members at the University of Missouri-Rolla will receive promotions or tenure effective Sept. 1. Those faculty members are:

– Dr. Derek Apel, promoted to associate professor of mining and nuclear engineering with tenure

– Dr. Genda Chen, promoted to professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering

– Dr. Curtis Elmore, promoted to associate professor of geological science and engineering with tenure

– Dr. Scott Grasman, promoted to associate professor of engineering management and systems engineering with tenure

– Dr. Greg Hilmas, promoted to professor of materials science and engineering

– Dr. Nicholas Leventis, promoted to professor of chemistry

– Dr. Frank Liu, promoted to professor of computer science

– Dr. James Martin, promoted to associate professor of psychology with tenure

– Dr. John McManus, promoted to associate professor of history and political science with tenure

– Dr. Glen Morrison, promoted to associate professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering with tenure

– Dr. Scott Smith, promoted to associate professor of electrical and computer engineering with tenure

– Dr. Yangchuan Xing, promoted to associate professor of chemical and biological engineering with tenure
