Corporate Development Council to host awards banquet at UMR

Several campus leadership awards will be presented at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 19, during the fourth annual Corporate Development Council’s Student Leaders’ Banquet and Awards Ceremony in the Miner Lounge of the Havener Center on the University of Missouri-Rolla campus.

A cash bar will be available during the reception, and there will be live jazz music from the Brazen Brass Ensemble. Following the reception, a banquet will be held in St. Pat’s Ballroom of the Havener Center.

The banquet and awards are sponsored by the UMR Corporate Development Council (CDC), the UMR Student Council, the UMR chapter of Blue Key National Honor Fraternity, Omicron Delta Kappa (a national leadership honor society), Order of Omega (a national Greek honor society), National Residence Hall Honorary and Tau Beta Pi. Registration forms for the event are available online at stuco.mst.edu, and will be accepted until Monday, April 16.

This year’s awards include:

– Remarkable Student Group
– Most Improved Organization
– Group Community Service Award
– Individual Community Service Award
– Most Spirited Missouri Miner Award
– Outstanding Student Advocate
– Extraordinary Faculty/Staff Award
– The Keystone Award
– Diversity Recognition Award

There will also be awards presented by several other UMR organizations, including Blue Key, Order of Omega, Society of Women Engineers, Student Council, Student Union Board, New Student Programs and the department of enrollment at UMR.
