On Tuesday, March 20, the University of Missouri Board of Curators will travel to the University of Missouri-Rolla to hold a public forum to discuss the search for the UM System’s next president. The board is seeking a successor to President Elson S. Floyd, who is departing this spring to assume the presidency of Washington State University.

“The Board of Curators has begun a nationwide search to identify and recruit the best possible person to become the University of Missouri’s next president,” said Don Walsworth of Marceline, Mo., chairman of the Board of Curators. “We seek an exemplary leader of national stature to guide the University during an era marked by great challenges and unlimited opportunities for higher education.”

Below is the schedule of remaining public forums:

  • Monday, March 19, 4–5:30 p.m., Room 208C Reynolds Alumni Center, University of Missouri-Columbia
  • Tuesday, March 20, 1:30–3 p.m., Carver-Turner Room, Havener Center, UMR
  • Tuesday, March 20, 5:30–7 p.m., Discovery Center Auditorium, 438 E. Saint Louis Street, Springfield, Mo.
