The Center for Entrepreneurship and Outreach (CEO) at the University of Missouri-Rolla and the Missouri Training Institute are teaming up with the Rolla Area Chamber of Commerce (RACC) to present two training classes for business owners in January.

“Developing Your Potential: Lessons in Leadership” will be offered from 1-5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, and “Strategic Planning” will be offered at 8 a.m. until noon on Tuesday, Jan. 9. Both classes will be held at the RACC Conference Room, 1301 Kingshighway.

According to CEO’s Barry White, surveys conducted by RACC have shown that area business owners are interested in having more training opportunities.

“How you lead your people impacts a business’s bottom line,” White says. “Strategic planning brings the business team together in a non-threatening way to articulate the vision and mission of the business, plus it brings buy-in to the action plans the team generates. These classes will help business leaders gain or re-energize skills to grow their businesses and their profits.”

Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Information is available at www.missouribusiness.net/cgi-bin/calendar/ . For additional information, including costs, call 573-341-7584 or email umrceo@mst.edu. Discounts are available to RACC members.
