The annual shrimp feed organized by the University of Missouri-Rolla will be held at 6:45 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, at Lions’ Club Park on U.S. Highway 63 in Rolla. A social hour will begin at 5:45 p.m.
The shrimp feed, which is open to the public, is a fundraiser for the scholarship fund of the Rolla Chapter of the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers (MSPE). Tickets are $25 per person. Each year the Rolla Chapter of MSPE awards two scholarships to area high school students.
The menu will include boiled shrimp (or, for those who cannot eat shrimp, filet mignon), baked beans, salad and beverages.
Sponsors of the event are the Rolla Chapter of MSPE and the Central Ozarks Section of the MSM-UMR Alumni Association.
For more information and to reserve tickets, contact Susan Hamilton at UMR’s School of Engineering, 101 Engineering Research Laboratory in Rolla, or call 573-341-4151 by Tuesday, Aug. 22.
