Lori Ziegler of Fenton, Mo., a senior in aerospace engineering at the University of Missouri-Rolla, recently received the 2006 North Central Region Award from Sigma Gamma Tau, an honor society for aerospace engineering students.
The award is presented annually to the top eight outstanding aerospace engineering seniors in the United States, based upon their academic, service and extracurricular accomplishments.
Peter Cross of Ash Grove, Mo., a graduate student in aerospace engineering at UMR, received the North Central Region Award in 2005. Cross received a bachelor of science degree in aerospace engineering from UMR in December 2005.
Schools represented in the North Central Region include the Air Force Academy, University of Colorado, Iowa State University, University of Kansas-Lawrence, University of Minnesota-Minneapolis, UMR, Parks College of St. Louis University and Wichita State University.
