The 2006 Undergraduate Research Conference at the University of Missouri-Rolla is scheduled for April 12 in the Havener Center. Student submissions are due by Thursday, March 16.

The annual event, which was started last year, gives UMR undergraduates opportunities to showcase research efforts to the campus community and general public. Students may participate in oral or poster sessions individually or in small groups. Only one entry per student is allowed.

Cash prizes are awarded in several categories depending on field of study. Students participating in the oral session are required to submit an abstract and research paper with their registration form. Students participating in the poster session are required to submit an abstract with their registration form. Abstracts must be 75-150 words. All abstracts must be submitted electronically.
