Habermehl is 2006 St. Pat’s Queen

University of Missouri-Rolla student Alyson Habermehl, a sophomore in architectural engineering and engineering management from Belleville, Ill., was the 2006 Queen of Love and Beauty for the 98th annual St. Pat’s celebration at UMR. Habermehl was nominated by Pi Kappa Alpha.        

The four women chosen as members of the queen’s court were:        

First runner-up, Princess of Peace and Happiness – Kelly Kipp, a senior in biological sciences from Birch Run, Mich. Kipp was nominated by Chi Omega.        

Second runner-up, Countess of Chastity and Virtue – December Ruth-Smith, a senior in biological sciences from Rolla. Ruth-Smith was nominated by Lambda Sigma Pi.         

Third runner-up, Dutchess of Desire and Ecstasy – Kelly Fahey, a senior in mechanical engineering from Silex, Mo. Fahey was nominated by Zeta Tau Alpha.         

Fourth runner-up, Lady of Honor and Devotion – Kira Bluebaum, a senior in civil engineering from Houston, Mo. Bluebaum was nominated by Kappa Alpha Order.        

The names of the queen and her court were announced during formal coronation ceremonies held at 9 p.m. Friday, March 17, in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall on UMR’s campus.
