UMR grad to speak on business Feb. 22

Leadership and business operations students at the University of Missouri-Rolla will learn about entrepreneurship and the traits and skills of leadership from a successful UMR graduate during a lecture to be held Feb. 22 on campus.

Mike Chiles, a 1973 UMR psychology and economics graduate, will speak at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, in St. Pat’s Ballroom A of the Havener Center on the UMR campus. He will speak to students of Psychology 316 and Business 260, however, the lecture is free and open to the public.

Chiles, who is president and general manager of Watts Radiant in Springfield, Mo., and an entertaining and engaging speaker, will describe his experiences as an entrepreneur, leader and successful businessman.

Chiles received a professional degree from UMR in 2005.
