The second season of the Family Film Festival at the University of Missouri-Rolla will provide area children and their families the opportunity to see classic, quality movies at a reasonable price.
In addition to the movies, there will be fun activities and free merchandise handed out before and after each show in the theater and outer lobby areas. “There will be arts and crafts, clowns and face-painting again this year,” says Emily Preston, coordinator of the series. “Humane societies and animal shelters will also bring pets to the first movie for families to play with and adopt.”
All films will be shown at 11 a.m. Saturdays in Leach Theatre of UMR’s Castleman Hall, 10th and Main streets in Rolla. Lunch and snacks, including pizza and soda, will be sold in the lobby following each movie. Admission is $2 per person and tickets will be available at the Leach Theatre Box Office.
